My Pioneer Ancestors

I posted this on another blog in honor of Pioneer Day, and thought it might be nice to post over here, too.  (And this blog could use some love, I haven't posted in over a year!  There's a time and a season for family history work, right?)  By the way, welcome to everyone from Pinterest!  I had no idea anyone was pinning this blog until someone I follow on Pinterest pinned it!  It was quite a fun little surprise to see that people like this blog, neglected though it may be.  :)  And, I've loved getting comments from distant relations.  It has been fun finding new relatives!

I had 59 direct ancestors cross the plains as Mormon Pioneers.  These great-great-great grandparents (and 4th great grandparents and 2nd great grandparents) laid the foundation for me to be born a member of the church and I am thankful for their sacrifices that I may have the life I have.

I have posted their names before, but I want to post them again.  I have more pictures now, and I love how seeing pictures of your ancestors makes the name more real.  They become more of a person, a story, a life, than just a name on a piece of paper.  Here they are, 59 pioneers who had a role in making me who I am.
